Fr. Bomukama Denis was born December 7th, 1988 in a village called Kyamuhunga, in the Archdiocese of Mbarara, west of Uganda.
He went to St. Mary’s primary school (1993-2001), where he received a certificate of Uganda Primary Leaving exams. He attended Kitabi minor Seminary for High school and joined Katigondo Major Seminary in Uganda (2008-2010) and graduated with a Diploma in social and philosophical studies and graduated, also, with a Magna cum laude Probatus with a Bachelor of Philosophy.
He went for Parish experience for one year where he joined St. Mary’s Seminary Ggaba in Uganda from 2012-15, where he graduated with a diploma and Bachelor of Theology. He was ordained a priest in July 2016. He has served in two parishes, and, while serving, due to his love for schools and teaching, he joined Kampala International University for a Diploma in Education, and, later, a Master’s degree in Theological and Religious studies from Makerere University, Uganda. He has taught in many schools and he’s currently serving as Rector of a preparatory school for young children between 8-15 years called St. Mukasa Preparatory Seminary, among the many schools where he serves as chaplain and spiritual director.
Mercy is the side God wants all of us to see! Go to Him in all situations of life. HIS MERCY HEALS AND SAVES AND I am humbled to be an instrument of God to extend His mercy to His People in my vocation as a Priest.
Miracle Hotline Show Notes:
The miraculous story of Father Bomukama Denis, who is from a small village in Uganda. His only prayer as a poor child was to be able to go to school, something we take for granted. His faithful prayer and persistence took him on a miraculous journey to follow where God led him. He was a boy whose father died of AIDS when he was 3, and he went on to defeat insurmountable obstacles of poverty, the AIDS epidemic, scarcity of the basic needs of food, water and clothing and not only went to school, but he excelled and become a priest and earned a Master’s degree. He has now built a school for orphans of any religion and has never forgotten his prayer to be able to go to school. His mission to help children in the remotest villages in Uganda is growing and continues to give hope and support to those who are most vulnerable. He was called to be a priest of Divine Mercy and now works with Pat Polachek at the Foundation of Jesus the Divine mercy who I interviewed in the previous podcast.
